copying dvd audio to mp3 or wav format

posted in General

How do I change /copy DVD audio files to mp3 or wav files so I can burn them onto a CD to listen to in my CD player. There are 2 folders on the DVd one labeled Audio_TS , Video_TS. The Audio_TS folder is empty the Video_TS folder has files with extensions .VOB (which are quite large), .BUP and IFO extensions which are small files. Specifically, how do I convert these files so I can copy the audio part of the DVD onto a CDR-R so it can be played on a cd player. What sites provide good information so I can learn how to do this. Thanks for any help you can give, if this is possible to do. reply

the audio folder will be empty.the audio track is in the vob files.
there are a couple of ways to get the audio.
to get it off the dvd:use smart ripper or dvddecrypter.there is a option to demux the ac3.
if the vobs are on the hard drive:use dvd2avi to demux ac3 or wav.
use HeadAC3he to convert one format to another.
