Okay, I recently downloaded this H-Game called “Jewel Knights." In the Rar file has 5 files. 2 MDFs, 2 MDS, and one read me file. The instructions on the read me file says mount and enjoy. I don’t understand that all the way...I have both Daemon Tools and Acohol 120%. Do I mount just the MDFs and only them? Then install? Or do I install then mount the MDFs? Or do I need to do something else altogether? I’ve tried mounting all the MDFs and MDSs on 4 virtual drives but when I go to run the program it says something like “Can’t use the connected file GGD." This happened with other H-Games I’ve downloaded. I just want to get pass the protection and try the game before buying. Anyone have any clues? Or advice? Any would be appreciated. Thanks.
I need help..i downloaded ford racing 3...i mounted it..installed it...and when i tried to play it..it said insert the cd..so i checked the readme and it said
2. Burn or mount the image with Daemon Tools.
3. Install the game
4. Copy over the cracked executable located in the /Crack dir on the cd.
5. Play the game
^^step 4 confused me..any help?? thanx
sorry if i’m repeating some answered question but i also have a prob with a mdf file.
it was an MDFMDS file compressed with WinRAR so i turned it into an ISO with MagicIso and burned it as dvd ISO file.
Everything went as normal, nero automatically recognized it and burned it with no prob.
the result was this dvd named LOTRBFME in which supposedly are 4GB of data but i can only see an AutoRun folder full of .BIG files that i cannot open.
then someone suggested that i should have burnt the mdf file with cloneCd, which i did but the result was the same:
the dvd seems to have all the data but when i open it i can only see the bloody autorun folder with the .Big files and i can’t run the program...
Can anyone please tell me what i should try next?
or what am i doing wrong?
this has never happened before...
If you have alchol 120% and Daemon tools and can’t play the game, once you’ve burnt it with alchol 120% and have daemon installed.
just right click on the virtual drive that 120% created and pick (left click ) Mount Image then go to where it was placed by 120%.(it’s location ) and bobs your uncle.
Atleast it worked for me that way.
i am not quite sure if Alias' reply was for me but if it is i am still confused:
you’re suggetsing i don’t need clonecd to burn it, right?
and it seems i need daemon tools installed to play it through the mounted image on alcohol 120...
is that it?
what does daemon tools do in all this then?
thanks for the help
i though so as well when i started dling it,
but never managed to find those bloody instructions - they’re defenetely not in the file i got.
can you confirm at least if this process is correct:
whenever i get mdf\mds files i always convert them into iso with MagicIso and then burn them with Nero.
So far all programs work and i never had any problem - that’s until now!
i just would like to know if there’s other, better way of dealing with the mdf\mds files...
Alcohol 120% for mdf mds files and nero for bin cue and iso. why would someone tell you to convert when you can burn straight off with Alcohol I don’t see the point ( could be because alcohol is not free but I’m sure you can find your way arround that ).
If you see any monitor icons with an “i” in any of your files open with notepad, could be what ure looking for or a .txt file.
Why not play the game first using daemon tools (virtual drive for image files), if it works and you like to have it on cd/dvd go ahead and burn.
Hi again OOchieMamma
your reply couldn’t be clearer.
i just got alcohol 120 and will try to burn it as you suggest.
I’ll look for daemon tools as well to try it in the virtual drive - never tried that
i had already looked for .txt files but, in the original folder, together with the .rar files there’s only an .sfv file and an MSInfo Document which i cannot read.
When uncompressed, there’s only the mdf and mds.
i’ll post the result of this, in case anyone else comes across that file or has similar probs.
opened it as you said, with Daemon, all fine until...
as i start the program it asks for the code to play the game and guess what:
there’s no way i can find it in the folders i have! no keygen, no clue, no instructions whatsoever!
ahah! i guess it serves me right!
(any clues about where and how to find the crack?
thanks for the patience!!)
I’m trying to burn an mdf image file,
when i try to mount it with daemon, I get the following error
“unable to mount image. Invalid TOC specified”,
and when i mount it with Alcohol 120 the cd is uploaded correctly but I get an error message when I try to burn it
i was just about to complete this saga and write a final msg to thank you and say i was giving up when you saved me again!
i just got several cracks through emule but none was working then i tried your first one and
i’ll finally check if the game works through the daemon and if so i’ll try and burn it with alcohol 120 (any last advice for this? i imagine it should be a straightforward burn-mdf-image-file kind of thing...)
in any case many thanks
"Ultra ISO” can take these files and extract whatever is in them onto your harddrive. Much easier than burning it to a DVD. But if you want to burn it “Ultra ISO” does that too..So either way I’d go with that program it’s a fix all for almost all DVD format files.
hey, sorry if this has been answered before, but im looking for specific instructions for Unreal Tournament 2004...besides the mounting buisiness, can anyone tell me what sort of cracks, ect. that i am going to be needing to get the game to work and the directions to do this?
thanks for any help
