When I burn a DVD+RW with photos they won’t play on my TV’s DVD player. My computers are new. I used to be able to from my old XP.

Windows 8 burns a data DVD,so you can’t play it on TV. I think You should use a tool to burn photos, recommend the media to DVD to you , it can make DVD easily.
