This application allows playback of QuickTime files (.mov, .qt) without having to install the “official” QuickTime Player from Apple.
Be advised that for MP4 and 3GP playback, the original Quicktime from Apple is probably a better choice, since Quicktime Alternative still has a few bugs with those file types.
