Yes VLC Player will play MOST but not ALL files perfectly. Ppl that have had no issue with it havent played many types of files.

I would also suggest installing AC3Filter from here - http://www.videohelp.com/software/AC3-Filter

One example is many new release (RARBG etc) that use DTS in the audio for better quality. As is often the case with releases it’s worth reading the accompanying .nfo file - “There is a known issue with VLC on these encodes because the original Bluray is with DTS-ES sound. Please use a different player like SMPlayer if you cant hear audio or its glitching”. reply
