Video slower than sound

posted in Video Codecs, viewed 2600 times

Hi, Ages ago I installed K-lite and was fine but I recently cleaned out my computer and reinstalled it. However, when I play my old stuff the sound is ahead of the video. Also when I watch something straight from say, “You Tube” I get a really heavy echo.
I don’t know if it’s the K=lite I’ve installed (i ticked every box that was avaiable except for noise reduction) or if I just broke it.
I use Firefox as a browser.
Can anyone suggest anything?
Thanks reply

What are the file types of your “old stuff” and it sounds like a codec issue with the youtube videos. They use flash...

So, open the codec wizard, and try using one of the flash codecs (one for video and one for audio) that they use.

If you’re using the HD videos on youtube, then they use .mp4 container with .h264 video and .aac audio. Try using one codec for each file type instead of more than one. As K-Lite usually comes with more than one for each file type. reply
