The m2v codec!

One more again, I failed to get the m2v codec! Impossible to find it in this site! I have a movie file with the extension .m2v and a simple question : where can I download that codec? Is there a codec pack that includes that codec? And, besides, what kind of codecs does it belong to? MPG, isn’t it, as the .m1v extension? If anybody can answer, I thank him/her very much indeed in advanced! :)))

Most likely mpeg-2 video. Use videolan, media player classic, or the elecard decoder. reply

Thanks dear Anonymous!

I used Media Player Classic and I was able to read the file. Actually, whereas the audio was perfect, the video had a problem of colors for unknown reason, but anyway I just need to know if that file really was that I looked for, and it did not! Now, I know it!

Bye :)

I am in the same boat but I can help you some I came across the .m2v extension for a video when I de-multiplexed a .pss video file which happens to be the format used by at least on the PS2 for their cutsceane graphics. But I was lucky in my Yahoo search engine here is a link to download the codec after that you just have to unzip and click the register batch file and ye should be up and running I hope this post helps.

May the nine moons shine upon ye, forever lighting the path of glory and adventure. reply
