Hi, I have installed winavi but each time I try to convert anything it says that I need some “Quik Time Codec 6.5 or higher”, however I had installed quick time and quick time alternative and also a couple of codecs pack but it still doesn’t work. Can anybody tell me where to find it? Pretty Please?

Well, I tried downloading that quick time alternative. It is no longer saying that I need the quik time codec 6.5 or higher. But I am still getting this error when I try to convert it.
“Can’t decode this file! Maybe the file is broke or the relatived decoder is not installed!" Does anyone have anymore suggestions on how to fix this problem?

winavi doesent suck! i have used it for over 3 years faithfully without any problems. add a couple of small additions such as ffdshow (free download) and youve got yourself a really powerful and tunable tool.

I just want to say quicktime sucks. I get the same problem too and searched everywhere for a solution and found none! I can play mov. files but it has sound only which is really infuriating. I tried converting them but i need a codec 6.5 which is near impossible to find. I think it’s just make believe like the tooth fairy. Booyah!

to covert avi to dvd just use a movie maker like nero 6 (not a re-encoder or ripper)
