playing avi video

Got AVI movie when i try to play picture and sound superb but the picture flickers ever few seconds can any one help.Thanks

that’s difficult to diagnose without knowing the codec or dimensions of the movie or what player you’re using.
but if i was taking a totally wild shot in the dark i’d guess you’re dealing with a processor-intensive codec like divx 5, xvid, or wmv3, and your processor is old/underpowered (less than 300 MHz) so it ends up dropping frames/playing out of sync.
