no sound in telesync svcd

Hello there.
i downloaded two separate telesync svcd files of the same movie. they were both in .rar format so i uncompressed them both and using vcdgear i decompressed the cue/bin files to mpeg. My problem is that there is no sound on either one of these films. i have used gspot and videoinspector to see if there are any missing codecs and they can’t find any missing ones. i have tried WMP10 and the divx player. i have the ac3filter installed on my system but to no avail, still no sound. the picture is fine on both but absolutely no sound. any help on this is GREATLY appreciated.
