installing codecs

i downloaded the proper codec and installed it but the video portion still wont show for the AVI file in windows media player. Do i need to do soemthing else for the codec to work?

i verified it was the right codec by using g spot

If it’s an AVI, it could be truncated.
Try Media Player Classic Home Cinema if that’s the case (WMP can’t handle incomplete AVI’s).
