indeo codecs

i need your help guys... i have a problem w/ my windows media player coz it cant download indeo codecs... when i visited indeo.ligos.com... i still have to pay so that i can download the codec.. are there any alternatives?

get an older version of the indeo codecs. they’re all over the net and free. google for iv5play or iv5setup.exe

You can always re-google if these links don’t work. Note that there are several versions of the indeo codec out there. From my records:
iv5play.exe - 804 KB - indeo 5.06
codinstl.exe - 1.77 MB - indeo 5.07 (also includes i.263)
iv5setup.exe - 1.85 MB - indeo 5.10
iv5setup.exe - 1.87 MB - indeo 5.11 (by intel)
iv5setup.exe - 1.97 MB - indeo 5.11 (switched over to ligos)
The last one’s the only one to have a blue icon, so it’s easy to spot.

This works, just downloaded and installed today, and can now run the application fine.

I saw long lists of codecs......how do I know which one I need? I am running Windows XP.....I cannot see any of my videos or even make any with my webcam.....any and all help appreciated

I can play any music at all other than videos though the videos will not have sound.My pc prompted me to get an indeo codec but i dont know how 2 choose one or even were 2 find one.Hope someone out there can help a brother

wat the hell do i do? i want to play the sims, so then i install the original cd and start installing livin' large (expansion pack) when , suddenly, they say that i have to get the indeo video codec and i just dont understand wat it is and y do i need it to play the game?.. so now im asking u to help me get the thing so i can play the game peacefuly and continue with my life...

If you never want to have codec hassles again, download teh K-Lite Mega Codec Pack (http://www.codecguide.com/about_mega.htm) it runs on anything and it’s got lots of codecs.
