I just started to try Windows Movie Maker, and have not been able to get this to work correctly without constant 'hanging' or non-playing of clips. I have tweaked and load/re-loaded so many times I am not sure what codecs to load or activate.
I am trying to work with clips generated by an older Sony handycam, which saves .mpg files, which I THINK are mpeg-2 format.
I am running windows XPpro, and tried turning accelerator down a notch, turned graphics display to 'performance', etc, but still not working very well.
what codec pack do I need to load to work with these .mpg, and is it best to DISable everything else in MM so it doesn’t get confused bout what to use?
