it seams like alot of the things that are going on on this page would be fixed if you all would get AVS4you, I have it and it works wounders with all the movies i have, AVI is one of my main streams in video formats, AVS conveter will do it all, Try it you will wounder how you made it this far with out it!!

My problem was when avi film wasn’t worked. I’ve considered many things, but it turned out that the film was fake. Everytime when I tried to play it , it turned me to site when the virus wanted to download on my computer..So don’t trust torrents ..!!

i think the problem is its format. you need to convert avi to wmv

i have the same problem .. when playing a movie on windows media player or real player .. am only getting the sound .. but the video itself is not showing ...

hi all!

i m on a resticted pc with limited access.. i cant install a thing as i dunn have administartive priviliges... can any one tell hoe i can just jownload the player files which are not installable but infact drop n play type files

You can burn your avi files to ISO to play on VLC Player.

I think they’ve made their new codecs proprietary. It sucks.

You’ll have no problem on playing them on their stupid DivX player and maybe VLC or WMP, but not on ANY OTHER media player, even if you have the file associated with it, where before version 7, there was never any problem.

Or get used to their new player. An older codec would probably fix it but they’re hard to find.

I might try VLC but it likes to make everything it’s default.

Actually, the DivX player doesn’t look so bad when you get rid of all the crap on each side and just see a screen.
