guest Guest | In my case it was a security setting that prevented the downloaded coded to be installed. Changed internet option “download of unsigned activex” to prompt and manually allowed installation.

Jim Brindley Guest | I have found a way to let Windows Media Player 10 download and install the codec “audio codec 75”. Goto the Internet options/Security and custom level. make sure the Active-X is set to enable (not disable or prompt). Run the video and the player will download the codec. Then go back to the security settings and resewt to the level it was at. I did this and it worked.

Lonster Guest | Oh for GOD’S SAKE!!! Thank you to Greg for the simplest solution. When WMP9 gived tries to download the missing codec and an error comes up, go to into IE security settings and click enable for unsigned active x controls. Worked like a charm. Thank you, you are a God.
