thecleaner Guest | where did u get the subtitles from?
are they in arabic? that may seem a silly question, but 1st time i tried for subtitles i downloaded polish instead of english! u should b able check by opening the subtitle file by temporarily changing the file extension from .srt to .doc. so a word processing app such as word can open it on the monitor for you. DON’T FORGET to change the extension back from .doc to .srt!!!
in the VLC player, open the settings menu, > preferences > input/codecs may get u somewhere. It’s all been trial and error for me. I had to go back to work out what i did before and am not really sure...
GOOD LUCK!!
let me know how you get on.

POODERSMITH Guest | download vob sub from here: httP://download.divxmovies.com/vobsub_2.23.exe
then you put the movie and subtitle fle together in the same folder and name them the same thing. EXCEPT in the subtitle file name put: .sub after it.

thecleaner Guest | and change your nick from “pissed off” to “pissed it in”
here in australia bloke might be asked: “How did we go in the cricket mate?"
if it was us against the poms he’d naturally reply: “Ah we pissed it in mate!"
it’s a way of saying you’ve done something easily

Warlock786 Guest | Oh Hello, Ok now heres the thing, I downloaded Babel with subtiles (srt files) and it was playing, just without sound or subtitles, Adter downloading and installing both DirectVOB and Mplayer it’s playing the file with sound but I still have no sibtitles, I also donwloaded SubtitlesSynch fromdownload.com and I can open the .srt files with that but I have no clue as to how to use it, it just makes a copy of my avi file into srt, so once again, how do I play an avi file with subtitles, Im using windows XP by the way.
Thanking everyone in Atticipation
