neil_6546445646 Guest | Hi, not sure if this has been said already but anyway...
The 3 or 4 files being talked about (.ccd, .img, .sub, and possibly .cue) are created when a psx game (for example, maybe others too) is copied to your pc using a program called “Clone cd”.
But how do you play the game?
Someone said daemon tools, yep, this works, simply load the .ccd file onto the 'fake' (emulated) cd rom drive created and the game should work. (look to bottom right hand corner of your screen to find the daemon tools icon on your desktop and find the file you want to load)
Then, i would recommend using a program/emulator called “epsxe” to play the game. In epsxe, select the “fake” drive as the cd drive you want to load your game from and this will work. You can find information on setting up the epsxe program on their website. hope this helps...
if you need a more thorough explanation or simply a few tips on playing a psx game on your pc (without using the disk) then post a reply here and i’ll try to help you, alternatively, just search the web. again, hope this helps!

mette Guest | Hi there. I HAVE read the whole friggin' post but I’m sorry to say I am STILL confused. I’ve read several times that if you have a ccd, img and sub file, you can burn the ccd file to a cd. Now I’ve got 2 questions:
- My ccd is 11 kb (Rayman). It looks kinda silly to burn 11 kb to a cd, or isn’t it the whole game you have on cd then?
- Does this also work for pcsxbox?

Cool Dude Guest | What we need to know is which file to burn, and what to burn it with.

neil_6546445646 Guest | Hi mette, firstly, the 11kb ccd file you have is NOT the whole game.
You must burn all 3 files (ccd, img and sub) to a disc in order for you to have the complete and playable game.
With the game rayman (psx i assume) you should have the following three files: ccd (11kb), img (685,432kb) and sub (27,977kb). As I said, you must burn all three for the game to work. Secondly, im not 100% sure which burning programme you should use as i just copy the game to my pc and play it directly from there, i dont burn the files to a disc. Other people seem to recommend using programmes such as Ahead’s 'Nero' and there is also a programme called 'Alcohol'. I have 'Nero' and although ive never used it to burn a game, im pretty sure this is how you would do it: On the main menu, select 'data' and then 'data disc'. Then, click 'add' and browse your computer to find the three files i told you about earlier. Click 'next', choose a suitable name for your disc, make sure you have selected the correct drive which you use for burning then click 'burn'. Hope this helps and i’ll reply a bit quicker next time. ps. i dont have a clue about psxbox although i guess it would be similar, sorry! Also, if you have a .cue file too then you can burn that to the disc as well, it won’t make much difference but it might be better to include it if you have it.

| 28 Feb 2006 11:04 am |
neil_65464456464 Guest | to do that you would have to have your console 'chipped' or 'mod-chipped' (search the internet to find out more). I wouldn’t recommend this as, long term, it damages the console. You would be better playing the game on your pc.
for example, with the playstation 1 / psx, you can use an emulator called 'epsxe' (my recommendation) to play the game on your pc and you can buy a 'psx to usb' adapter to allow you to use an official psx controller with the pc so that you are effectively using the real console except that you have loads of space on your pc to store savegames etc. It works and you can just store the games on your pc rather than complicate things by burning them to loads of discs. hope this helps...

aavrps Guest | HI,
I recently downloaded Age of Mythology. They were two files with same name but with '.mig' and '.sub'. I could extract file with .mig format using ISOpen, MagicISO and PowerISO.
When I run the EXE I am unable to see the english text everything appears with "??????"
Is ".sub” file important? If so how to use it properly such that I can install and play the game. Help me if anybody can resolve it.
All the Best!! | |

Big Guy Guest | on ISO files me, no probelm... but can the Clone CD burn proteceted games?
| 13 Apr 2006 03:33 am |
kylene Guest | I downloaded age of empires II off the interwebs. The file contains: a .ccd file, a .cue file, an .img file, and a .sub file. I used Alcohol 120% to install the program, but when I try to run it, it tells me I need to enter a disk. I tried to use magicISO to burn it to disc, but the trail version wouldn’t let me.
What do I do?! | |

ERICkw Guest | ill try and make this sound simple
I downloaded one of those anime porno games off of bit torrent (yes Im evil)
and I extracted it. And got the cue, img, sub, and ccd files.
I dont have any blank cds so I need to play this pc game on my computer.
Im just wierd like that.
I read on here I could play it using EPSXE so I downloaded that and downloaded all the right plug ins and everything.
When I try to Run ISO with the Img file my screen just goes black and nothing happens. Like its playing the game but its not there.
Is that just because epsxe cant play computer games? Or am I doing something wrong.
(sorry this was so vague, any help would be greatly appreciated though)
