Hey...

I have just downloaded 3 games for Ps2, then I unpacked them, BUT here’s the problem:
There’s 23 files named: 001-file, 002-file (and so on to 023-file) And then there’s that .sfv file. Now how do I burn it out ?, can I create .bin and .cue files?

Please help me guys, I really need it quick smiley

Thanks, Patrick

The SFV file contains the information, data, CRC, integration about your downloaded files. Using this file you can verify the files (corrupted or not, CRC).
I use QuickSFV to handle these SFV files.
U can download it from this directory:
http://ethyl1.fx3.hu/qsfv/

Then combine your (.rar?) files, and you will be given a .bin/.iso file and the .cue file. So U can burn the CD.

If no .cue, then use some software (for example WinISO) to decompress the game files from the .bin/.iso or .dat - and burn.

Hope I helped smiley

You don’t have to burn or convert the SFV file.
Only the ISO, as the previous poster described.

Hey everyone, i’ve sussed it!!!
you see the .001 file, well open that with winrar, then extract the image files.
If it worked, then please reply on this forum. If it didn’t, then i’m sorry

all you have to do is open thefile.001 with winrar and extract the .bin and .cue files. then convert the .bin file to an iso with a program like magic iso. then just mount it on a virtual CD/DVD drive such as daemon tools.

This is all much easier than it looks — trust me. THe sfv file is just a file check to make sure all of the necessary files are there and that there are no corrupted files. The only time I’ve ever really NEEDED it to work was for tar or rar files that have all of the same name — no oo1, 002 etc. In that case, sfv puts them in the correct order for burning.

You need to turn your rar into bin and cue files. Using unrar, you click on the first file on line. That file unrars and triggers the file after it to be unrared, etc. It keeps on going until they are all unrared and you have a new folder with just a bin file and a cue file. The cue file tells it what to do. If you don’t want to burn a disc, you can use daemon tools — -but I’m still learning how to use them!! To burn a disc, I use Alcohol 120%. Once again, it’s the easiest — plug in the bin and rar file and magically, a disc is burned. I’ve done this for lots of movies. Right now I’m working on my first game...I might be back for help myself later!!

I dont think you people understand what he means. I guess, have that problem myself, you got that .sfv (Np there) but after that .001 to .054, they ARE NOT rar files. How to get them onto a cd working?

Actually the are rar files. It doesnt look like it but if you right click on the program and open with winrar it will work.

Not program i meant file. any of the .001-.054 or how high it goes should work.

Just double click on one of the .(insert number here) files. If you’re using Xp, it should give you the option of using the web service to find a program or choosing one from the list. Check the 'choose a program from the list', then choose winrar or whatever you use, from the list. You will then be able to extract the files.
