I am having the same problem. One thing I noticed that it is only happening with AC3 5.1ch files. How about you???

Read something about the problem may be caused if you don’t have the correct video card. But that can’t be because I can play the movie on my computer. I also tried WinAVi converter, that just hangs after awhile.

For me - the problem was that I had to unregister smoething that was over riding my other codecs. If you see a little green arrow in the system tray when you play video’s - then you need to do it; I went to the run command and did the following: regsvr32 vsfilter.dll -u
You should get a succeeded message - then try DVD Santa and you should be in business - good luck!

At monckeyface: I had the same problem. If you get the green arrow, go to the configuration. Search through the tabs and find something about “Load” with a combobox. There will be the line: always load. Change that in “never load”. Now it works just fine.

if you get rid of the little green arrow then you will lose the ability to have subtitles display. That’s the subtitle filter.
You are having a codec contenntion problem. Try using FFDshow, and remove or lower the priority on the other codecs so that the system can find the right one to use.

As for the ac3 issue, try finding the ac3 acm codec, that will allow win to natively decode dolby ac3 streams. (afterdawn or free codecs)
Alslo to set up the codecs correctly try radlight filter manager, it’ll reg/unreg, set priorities etc.

luck,

Many Thanks, now my DVD Santa works just FINE...
i tried the sentence :

[CODE]
regsvr32 vsfilter.dll -u
[\CODE]

I had the same error like the guy with : Cant Find The Right Module (or something like that)
*i still have the same error, but it works now*

then i tried the RIGHT CLICK on the green arrow and i switched it to ; NEVER LOAD..
*TADA* IT WORKS FINE FOR ME!!
