Seth Guest | I finally figured out how to get these darned mtv files to work on my mp4/“sony”/wilson co./s1 player.....
thanks mr. Hong, and others who suggested the final brew, which after a couple days of tinkering finally amounted to this:
use utility 3.06, the 50mb codec package, FairUse wizard, and the mtv converter in the 306 file.
**don’t upgrade the firmware, though. the previous version is much more seamless.
anybody with questions, don’t hesitate to ask.

Seth Guest | hi vt:
first, go to http://www.auhe30.dsl.pipex.com/utility.htm
and download these utilities. use version 3.06 on the mtv encoder, and install the ACE mega codec pack choosing the “hyper” installation option - i also chose to force the codecs into Windows(select at bottom of codec list while installing)to make it easier when playing different file types in windows media player.
I installed the firmware, but its not neccessary and i prefer the old firmware to this - so its your choice.
I also have to use the Fair Use wizard
http://www.fairusewizard.com/
on some files that aren’t formatted for the MTV encoder to handle, and some i’ve had to use NERO or DVDShrink to convert to ISO, then through Fair use and the to MTV.....hope this helps.
