Miscellaneous: The original release of the codec only had a DirectShow decoder. This left users wishing to do editing using VirtualDub (or VFW (Video for Windows) tools) in the cold. Samsung’s latest release of its codec comes with a VFW module, but the latter falls a bit short: it’s only for encoding. Its principal use is to produce videos that can be played back on the camcorder.

I have read the string here and cannot work out what is the right link to download to solve the problem of playing my video files from my Samsung X220l on my Mac. It is driving me crazy. I could not get to http: www.rt4.org/download/avi2DivX.jar to open, but I did get lots of car insurance quotes! Please make it simple, thanks & regards, Peter
