Not sure if you guys can help with this sort of query.
I have an avi file which has Polish subtitles, I have obtained the correct codec to see the subtitles by installing the K-Lite codec and now it’s almost perfect but all of the special Polish characters, for example Ł, appear as random characters, like a superscript 3, an upside down question mark etc etc. It’s like the the code page isn’t recognised so it just displays something random in its place. Is there anything I can do / install to correct this?

I have the same problem - the subtitles are correctly displayed by MS Word using the right codepage. My Media Player Classic seems to default to some other codepage.
Would also like a solution.
i have the same problem some letters dont show just random numbers or shapes i tried vcl player classic media player both are the same
