I bought a black ipod nano from china and cannot get the songs to work when I click on the song it says format error on it.

can u please ! tell me if it is fake or real and can i get the songs to work.

eileen - its a fake, ipod is an apple product and is not chinese. you can try formatting it from your computer, if that doesn’t work try returning it

I recently purchased 2 ipod nanos (2G. Model number: A1137. Well, they turned out to be fake ipods. The firmware is wrong. It is LKC-9121-V30 2007-08-30
9.1.52 2005-01-09
I hope that you can help me. I need to get the correct firmware for these fake ipods to see if they will function correctly. If I am able to find the correct firmware, then I would to need to know how to install it onto my nanos. Could you please assist me in this matter? Thanks.

ahad19934372; somehow it fails to write on the disk... how? it’s Chinese crap... go figure... the damn thing is that it failed on me on the date of purchase... and i stumbled on this forum 'cause i was looking for a firmware with no luck of course... now i bought it in china... from a friend... and now... I’m not in china... yay... and i can’t return it... so how do we resolve this case? use the incinerator... or smash it yourself.. either way.... your not getting anything out of this..

Just use ubuntu or other linux OS when transfer music!!! GOSH!!! i hate when people just think that when they have a problem they just go to forums wining “my IPod is broken BUHUUUU”

so.. use linux and all works!
