video lost

Hi,
I installed Ace Mega Codec Pack for Windows XP. It would not work, I tried to delete it, it would not delete and system restore would not restore.
I no longer have video (only sound) on Real player, quicktime, medial player and when I try to start a dvd or avi with one of these programs ace Mega codex pack tries to load.
I deleted media player and installed media player 11, still no luck.
My two problems are getting back my video and ridding the computer of ace Mega trying to start up everytime I try to watch video.
Any help would be appreciated.

Have you checked their online help section(if they have one)

Also how did you try to delete it?

Another thing, did you download it directly from a refutable website and virus check it.

I would also try and install VLC media player. It has its own set of codecs.http://www.videolan.org/vlc/

I suspect that the file may have been corrupted or had trouble installing on your system and when it did so, it altered the existing codecs while trying to update them. Hence the reason your video doesn’t work is because the video codecs are not yet completely installed.

Get back to me on what you did to uninstall the program and i will have a better idea on what went wrong.
