i rencently installed sp2, and along with it WMP10. now i am having problems playing all of my video files. 80 percent of the ones that actually work start out pixelated. Another problem i am finding is that half of the .wmv files classified as “video clips” wont even play. I usually get an error message saying that windows media player does not support the codecs, or the format used to compress the video; however those videos worked fine prior to my install of WMP10.

i’ve tried uninstalling WMP10 and installing WMP9 which played these files before.. but it no longer worked.

is there any patch/plug/ or alternative media player that will allow me to play these files? Has anyone else experienced this?
