Hi!
I recently downloaded movie Italian job.I have 3 media players on my computer: windows media player, bsplayer and winDVD player. When I play the file with windows media player I get good picture but Sound is like slow motion(fucked up).
If I play it with bsplayer or winDVD player I get ok sound but video is fucked up(tripple images, blury...).I tried the movie with gspot and it says that it can play it successfully
(the codec is xvid by the way). Can anyone tell me what I can do?Thanks for the help.
hi i am lai from malaysia.
try this,
1. first download “AVI FourCC Code Changer” (http://www.moviecodec.com/download/avic100.zip)
2. extract it. click the avic.exe and locate your avi file
3. after that FourCC Description code will show “xvid” and so is Fourcc Used Codec
4. just change “xvid” to “divx” and click apply
you will able to play it in windows media player 9 (tested)
maybe there are other smart ways but i hope the method mentioned above can help you out, enjoy your movie!
Word of warning. Make a backup of your movie b4 u use four cc changer. U could end up losing it altogether
Try VLC, it will play anything — even files that won’t work in other players, including dat files.
Hello
Ihave a problem with this movey too! Well i can hear the sound but i cant see the picture.I used “AVI FourCC Code Changer” but no use. Before i used it i could see the picture but no sound and now i can hear but cant see the picture.
PLS help me.
P.S. The movie is on a CD
THANKS
I have another. To play a movie i require a ÐÄÄÄ codec but i can’t find it or know what it is
well i installed ffdshow(many codecs together) and it works perfect for me:P
try it..
FFDShow is a directshow decoding filter for some MPEG4 based encoded movies (XviD & DivX), as opposed to actually being a codec, and yes, it works pretty well.
hey, i downloaded some videos the other day and while the codec changer works, the videos cuts out after about 20 seconds..
why?
Indeed, I also have that with some XVID movies.
DivX works fine with me.
The problem lies (I think) with the XViD Codec.
Try installing another version; there’s a list of some XViD versions on http://www.xvid.com
I had the same problem. The VLC Media player was the only player that worked.
I have been trying to play a dvr-ms file on windows media 9. I have tried playing it on VideoLAN, DivX Player, and WM9 none of which work. I have both the DivX and XviD codecs installed on my computer but WM9 tells me i need the ÐÄÄÄ codec. How do I get it?? Thanks
