I made a Windows Live Movie Maker slide show on my Windows 7 computer before it crashed. Thankfully I had saved the movie to removable storage. Now, I am trying to play the movie on my husband’s computer, but it is vista and has WMM on it. It says I need to download a codec for it. Is it going to be possible to restore this movie on this older computer? I have to have this by Friday!!
Thanks for any help you can give me!!!!
Unfortunately I dont have any Windows PC available right now to test this problem out by myself. Obviously a codec was used to encode the video on your PC that is not present on your husbands PC - so I will give you general recommendations on this:
To playback the file try downloading one of the all in one media players - especially the VLC media player which has a lot of codecs built into it.
Alternatively, again to play it back, you could try downloading a codec pack. Try Vista Codec Pack or K-Lite Codec Pack.
Let me know if this was helpful, if not let me know and I will try and come up with more suggestions.
Photographing people and plaecs could be a hobby, and it is a great way to capture the things that you wish to recall or share with others on Facebook for example. Local adult training facilities offer newbies classes that may help you discover digital photography, but when you want to take your image taking abilities one step further, you could even develop your skills into becoming a professional digital photographer.
