Are you really certain that you have red through the whole manuel? Your qoute: Only things that are recorded with Panasonic equipment can be played back. Well, that’s interesting! To me that’s pure nonsense. Next time if you ever need any help again, you should be truthfull.(Honestly speaking) Please don’t lie.
I’ll help you this time. To tranfer data to a SD card, you need to have a Card Reader.(SD) Plug your Card Reader into the USB slot of your PC. This time make sure that you read the manuel of the Card Reader throughly on how to use it. If you screw thing up, I am not going to help you anymore. REMEMBER THAT!!!!
Michael Jackson sang ABC,123..it is just that simple.
Thanks Muresk and Rewmer. Very useful information, you just saved me a lot of time experimenting.
I had already tried loading a bunch of short video clips onto an SD card in every different format I could obtain, and was a bit worried that none of them worked.
Now I will try the instructions you gave.
Panasonic should rethink their manual (manuel?) as there is a big information gap between what it says and what you have to do to make it work.

i have a Panasonic TH_P50VT20a 3DTV
i work doing 3d and video editing
i have been searching and reading forums about converting video for playback on SD cards and usb for the Panasonic TH_P50VT20a 3DTV, for a while now trying different formats and im still trying to get my head around it
to get video playback from SD card with out to many problems myself i have been using the video converter in Youtube Downloader i can convert most files some are rejected...just click the convert radio button then pick XVidMPEG-4codec(AVI) then hit convert
then i just dump them on a sd card and they play back on the TV
im no expert and im sure this is the hack way of getting it to work....i have only used it to watch tutorials or music videos i have downloaded from the internet not full movies or DvD copys
Youtube Downloader wont load all video file formats for conversion but its worth a try if you just want to see something from your SD card
after reading this forum im installing multiAVCHD and trying that...thanks
easiest way id to downdload avs video converter, convert the video file to a divx or xvid fromat which is usually supported by viera tv’s. you have to register your tv to play divx’s on the divx website. i have a 50 inch plasma and this works for me, however it has to be divx or xvid fromat or it wont play
I have Vierra G25 and trying to play the youtube dwnloaded videos by USB or SD card.
Can you tell me more about registering the TV to play on divx website. How does that work..ANy othe rinformation will be helpful

I came here looking for a simple answer but I now have a new topic and that is how that “panasonic technician” needs to get over himself. First, no one gives a #%$@ that your life is so hopelessly boring that you read the whole manual 30 times. Next time, maybe read a dictionary and figure out how to spell manual before being a punk. Oh and next time you act like a hot shot, why don’t you try to make sure that you know what you are talking about. You totally didn’t answer that person’s question.
