Error OXCOOD1199-Windows Media Player

I am attempting to open a video clip, yet the error message in windows media player pops up 'OXCOOD119' cannot play the file, I obviously need a codec, but pray tell which one? I have what I thought where so many codecs installed on my system, but clearly lacking in the right one for this file, can anyone please help and tell me which would be the latest codecs which I ought to install?
