YES IT WORKS! JUST OPEN WINRAR SELECT THE FIRST FILE WHICH IT WOULD BE FILE-01, SELECT THE ISO INSIDE, RIGHT CLICK ON IT, SELECT DECOMPRESS TO SELECTED FOLDER, DO THAT AND WAIT!PROBLEM SOLVED! CIAO DUDES

Hello,
I have a problem with these .sfv files. When extracting a error pops up saying my FAT-32 System doesn’t support files larger than 4 GB, but only NFTS support that.
I’ve already created a new partition in NFTS format and it still doesn’t want to work.
WHat should I do know?

I have the similar prob. Only I am downloading a rar file. I get that same: you need to have the following volume to continue extraction , message. But its blank where it would normally give the volume file name. The winrar diagnostic page that pops up says two things.
1The req vol is absent.
2CRC failed in, then it gives the name of the file I tried to open but at the end of it it says the file is corrupted.

Hey! I’ve just had to deal with it for the first time. It is indeed very easy =)

First, make sure you have WinRAR installed in your computer (it doesn’t matter if it is an 'evaluation copy' of the program, it’s exactly the same wink).

Then go to the first file of the many files you probably have (for what I’ve just read) and press right mouse button and chose 'Open'. Then 'Select program from a list' and choose 'WinRAR' which will most probably at the end. Now wait a few seconds and you’ll see that WinRAR has extracted an .ISO file in a new directory. Drag that file to the original folder where all your files are and that’s it! You’ll get the complete .ISO ready to burn!

Hope I’ve helped! Regards from Argentina!

foozma73 you don’t extract the files that way, you want to open the file (double clicking or right clicking and open) and open the file with WinRAR archives, and extract with that. nick explained it quite well.

I downloaded a game, that had split files. I joined them using Hjsplit, but it does not show the file extension (ISO,CUE,BIN) that I would normally view to determin what type of file it is and what program I need to view it.

Anybody have any idea how do I determin this?

what everyone seems to fail to describe is that the sfv file is not the one you guys should be paying attention.. but the .001 file.

The .001 file is a .rar so just use 7zip or winrar or whatever and tell it to extract the .001 file.. and he will go from the .001 to the last file to extract whats really compressed..

Be it a iso a bin or whatever.

quick sfv reads sfv files.

sfv viles are for when you download a program it matches the files you downloaded with the files that were downloaded into the sfv to enusre you have all the pices

leave the .sfv files... just go to the 001 file and “open with” winrar and it works fine! sorry if this has been repeated i havent checked all the posts... smiley
