been trying to get this file to play for a few hours now, when i installed matroska pack and tried to open the file(s) with windows media player 10 (and windows media player classic, and vers 6) they all instantly crashed. When I tried to open the file with Divx player the video played fine, but it said I would need additional directshow filters (just said for the file type) i could still watch the video, but there was no sound and the subtitles did not work. I can play any other file type without having any problems. This is what it says when I run it through the matroska diag;

I prefer using a video converter to installing decoder, which may be harmful to computer.

I’d say it’s the audio codec, and uninstall and then re-install that codec.

Or try a different codec.

Also, avoid codec packs. This is the reason. They cause conflicts.
