I am having the same trouble with surveillance footage. I have a player that says it converts to AVI. But the AVI files created are unuseable. If you have any luck, please let me know! In the meantime, if you would like me to send the player I have, let me know via this page. reply

I have the same issue, the player linked does not work for my needs, I am basically trying to convert a 17 hour police dash cam for a case. The video is in *.dav format, however; nothing which claims to open dav files opens this.

On a side note, MediaCoder, which can convert a lot of things also cannot handle converting this.

Any ideas?

Thanks guys,

I used a player fromthe MACE secuity website to create and play .dav files. The players has a button to save as avi, but it didn’t work. I think its only for the full versiion you may get if you actually have a Mace security system. reply
