i have 2 cds that are in MDF/MDS format. The first cd works fine using Daemon tools. The second cd says that the is an incorrect TOC. What is a TOC and how can i fix this problem. I know a cue file can be changed with notepad but i am not familiar with the MDS format. Can anyone help me?

anna u gotta have “daemon tools” now to open that. just download it (make a google search) and then install it. a icon will appear on the bottom of ur taskbar (near the clock). right click it choose virtual cd/dvd rom then any device avaiable then mount image and choose ur .cue file. will be ready now to install/play the game. cheers wink

use what ure given, forget about converting most of the time its really unecessary.

Bin and cue, iso and mdf mds are all image files theres no reason to convert from one to the other all you get is an image file with a different extension.

Nero can burn these cept for mdf and mds where you need alcohol 120%.

Just want to play without burning, use daemon tools accepts all of the above image files.

hi everyone
sorry if i’m just crashing in but in your messages you all seem keen in helping so i thought i should just try.
Here’s the problem:
I downloaded Lord of the rings battle for middle Earth
the actual name of the file was
Lord.Of.The.Rings.Battle.For.Middle.Earth.DVD.READ.NFO-CLONECD

it was an MDF\MDS file compressed with WinRAR so i turned it into an ISO with MagicIso and burned it as dvd ISO file.

Everything went as normal, nero automatically recognized it and burned it with no prob.
Now the problem is that i have this dvd named LOTRBFME in which supposedly are 4GB of data but i can only see an AutoRun folder full of .BIG files that i cannot open.
Supposedly the game is there but how can i play it?
did i burnt it the wrong way or should i use another program?

hope someone out there has the same dl or an answer.
many thanks

to:el pepe you shouldnt have converted it into iso.....you should have left it alone and used clonedvd to burn it......then it should work...~john

when i downloaded rise of nation thrones and patriots this week i discovered bin/cue for the first time, spent some time down loading did’t know what to do.good old nero just wrote the cue file to cd by selecting iso write.put the cd back in the drive and everything went to plan the game ran first time.no need to write the bin file to disc.

to john (and anyone who can help)

this is still about:
Lord.Of.The.Rings.Battle.For.Middle.Earth.DVD.READ.NFO-CLONECD

after turning the mdf into an iso, burning it with nero and failing to make it work
i tried what john suggested, but burning the mdf file with clonecd didnt work either:

the dvd is still named LOTRBFME and has exactly the same thing as the one burnt with nero:
i can only see an AutoRun folder full of .BIG files that i cannot open.

am i missing something?

Daemon tools just adds one or more virtual drives on your comp, very useful for image files.

Install Daemon Tools, right click the red lightning icon (quick launch taskbar) - virtual cd - device - click mount image - on new window locate your medal of honour file cd1 and open. The game should autolaunch - select install.

When prompt for cd2 mount the second file as above and click ok.

To play you need a crack, its either in cd1 or cd2. You just mount each of the files and search for it through my computer and explore your virtual drive.
