can i convert a wlmp file to a wmv file?

.wlmp is a project file to convert into .wmv you must open it again
in Window Live Movie Maker and then click on File>save movie.

If you are using the latest version there should be a botton on the home tab that says “save movie." click it and hit “For computer." it will then save as a WMV

What do i do if i am sent a wlmp file, and my movie maker cannot open it as it doesnt recognise the file type, i guess a number people want to know this, any ideas ?

Uh first off, I am in college, hence the reason I am on here to turn in a movie I have to make for homework purposes. Secondly, this all is being said by someone who has to hide behind a computer to act big and bad. Thirdly, your talking about us being on our silly little asses in-front of a computer but then again, your on one!

I’ve built a machine just for movies and picture editing, not bragging but it’s fast and has all up to date components. When trying to save the movie as .wmv it takes forever. Anyone have any thoughts on why it takes so long? Any help would be greatly appreciated. If i posted in the wrong place i’m sorry, i’m new here; what an excuse!

WLMP is a project file , not a video. you need to open it in WLMM and save as a movie. From the left-most icon of the main menu, use “save movie” and it will give you choices of quality
