every time i convert movies to burn on a disc it comes up as an audio and video file how do i put them on a disc? first time using these programs.
www.winavi/video convert.com
www.nero.com/eight edition
ok, i can help you. need to know what kind of disc you converted. i use both nero and winavi all the time, but i use nero version 6. let me say this much. lets assume you had winavi convert the avi into a dvd. it creates 2 folders a audio_ts and a video_ts folder. note that the audio folder is ALWAYS empty and does not contain any files. the video_ts folder contains all the audio-video needed to burn the dvd. a dvd consists of 3 impt kinds of files: vob’s, ifo’s and bup’s. the BUP files are backup files. the IFO’s are like a traffic cop that tells the video what to play and when, i.e. menu’s, extra’s and so on. to get them on a dvd disc, open nero. go to burning rom screen. make sure you pick dvd video and that your dvd burner is listed in the upper window. leave settings at default. on right side of new compliation window, click NEW. a new four panel screen opens up. on the 3rd screen where you see your hard drive files, scan down to find the name of the folder that has the movie. if there is a plus sign, click on it. it should say dvd_0, click the next sub folder plus sign and keep clicking until you see the video_ts folder. highlight it and on the right side you’ll see all the movie files vob’s, ifo’s and bup’s.highlight the first file you see, then direct your cursor to the top of the screen to EDIT and click it. scan down and click select all. all the files will be blue. put you mouse on the blue files and left click holding down the left mouse. drag and drop the files over to the Name column and release mouse. now they are all ready. at top click burn and you should be good to go. of course have a blank disc in the burner. hope this helps
Hi anonymous999,
I’m in need of your help also... I have a slightly different situation! I have a DVD file (.vob) 3.81Gb that I want to burn to a DVD disc (4.7Gb) and play on any DVD player. I don’t have nero.. But I have a program that burns DVD video files but like you were talking about it requires information in TS_Video and TS_Audio I’m not sure what to do... I only have the one DVD file (.vob) which has both the Video and Audio.
Can I just put the DVD file (.vob) in the TS_Video folder and then burn? will that work or is there something else that I’m missing?
Programs I use..
CD Burner XP
Burnaware Free
Free Easy Burner
Free Video Converter (Only converts files)

You can’t directly burn vob file to dvd! you need some dvd ripping program to convert your vob file into common video formats ,such as avi ,mkv, then you can burn your converted file to new dvd disk with your dvd burning program.Handbrake is a totally free dvd ripping tool ,works on windows and mac osx.
