my version of vista supposedly has the required ts codec file to make yahoo voice work. But...I keep geting an error message....“this computer does not appear to have audio input capability, or it is not configured properly”. I have tried all the freecreed and bytscribe “fixes”...no change. Help!!!

The True Speech codec fix often does not work with Vista Home Basic. It almost always works very well with Vista Home Premium. I do not know if it works on Vista Ultimate. I do not know if there is a difference between the fix working on 32 bit versus 64 bit Windows Vista. Most people, and it has been at least 100, have 32 bit Windows Home Premium. Just in case you need extra instructions to get it working and you have Vista Home Premium here is a great link that will explain step by step what you need to do. Remember you have to fun it as an administrator and you need to reboot. The UAC will affect this so follow the instructions.

p.s. if you do not know which version of Windows Vista you are running than right click the Computer icon (desktop or start menu) and choose Properties. A window will open that will tell you what your operating system is and system information. Good luck.
