Heya folks, I’ve got this problem with an AVI file...
When I play the AVI file using WMP, it has a small red “X” next to the file name indicating that it wasn’t able to decode the audio portion of the file.
I can view the video portion just fine but not the audio. When I click the “little red X” and ask for “Web Help” it tells me that I’m experiencing error C00D10D1. And also tells me that I need Ogg Vorbis Mode 3+ (6771).
I’ve tried many different methods of getting this codec but all have failed.
I tried placing the recommended Vorbis.ACM file in my windows/system32 folder and restarting my machine but that didn’t work. I also tried installing two different versions of the Directshow filters from this site: http://www.illiminable.com/ogg/history.html
I made sure WMP was closed and that I had uninstalled other versions of ogg before installing those.
I’m running Vista by the way... Any suggestions?
