Dear Cameraman,
I went to Denny’s as you suggested and found to my dismay that Jim Bobberson had been fired for being a SMARTASS.So I still have the same download problem.Any more slightly more helpful
Ideas?.

AVIPreview is out-of-date - don’t use it.

Use VideoLAN (www.videolan.org)

DivX is a VIDEO codec - ie - it’s for picture playback.

MP3 is a AUDIO codec - ie - it’s for sound playback.

You’ve got a file that requires something to play back AC3 AUDIO. VideoLAN will do this using it’s builtin filters.

BUT, you can also get the AC3Filter which will allow you to hear sound in all your different media players - http://ac3filter.sourceforge.net/

Sign into www.fasttrackcentral.org and you’ll be find lots more information as well as other perks.

Frightfoo,
Thanks a lot for your help,I really appreciate it .I’ve dumped AVI preview as you said and I’ve now got the VLC player.I’m going to the other places you suggest to have a look round and see if I can learn a bit more.
Thanks again friend.
