DO NOT GET VLC!!!
VLC Drops The Frame Rate Of DVDs So Your Not Seeing The DVD In It’s Original Frame Rate
Example: Played In Media Player It Plays At The Original 30FramesPerSecond.
In VLC It Drops The Frame Rate Down To 25FramesPerSecond.
So Stay Away From VLC.
VLC Says It Can Handle Any Format But Thats Bull Shit!
It Don’t Play FLV Files And It Don’t Play Any Real Media Files
This is ridiculous... why in hell would windows not furnish a media player that reads DVDs ? Are they living in the stone age or trying to sell every stupid functionality of a software ? Download codecs to read DVDs on my computer ? No.
Do Mac users have to live with this kind of nonesense... no.
Anyhow, my next computer will be a Mac... in the meantime, I’m using the VLC player (downloadable freely).
i couldnt play any DVD file and video with wmp11.
tell me what i should to do?
bad microsoft. my windows media player 11 can’t play all dvd...
unless you want to pay to watch dvds on a xp os with wmp11,10 ect then giveup or download vlc or better still vista has dvd playback as defult on vista not basic but above that
Tip: Get Media Player Classic (freeware - google it), and click file, open DVD. You didn’t hear that from me though...
Go to those “free” codec download sites and download all the spam, malware and viruses you could ever desire.
Don’t bother to read the fine print cuz hey, you’ll be in too bigga hurry to get the goods, right?
You’llll beeee sorrrrry!
No kidding... READ the fine print. There’s no such thing as a free lunch and even the cool looking open source sites like: cliprex.com ... see.. http://www.cliprex.com/cliprex/products/cliprex-dvd-player-professional.html ...
... are BOGUS.
The reason your DVD’s play on some computers and not others is because some other program. ..like Roxio Premium for instannce, has installed the codec as part of it’s package.
Go to Microsoft or Roxio’s site or another KNOWN trusted (haha...trust Microsoft ...or anyone nowadays ..hahaha)..
Ahem...., I was saying.. trusted site and pay the $15 bucks. You’ll be glad you did.
Don’t say I didn’t warn ya ...
Peace, love ... and um ..granola,
Do NOT put divx player on your machine. You will always be prompted to update your player and it is nearly IMPOSSIBLE to disable this function. Don’t listen to anyone telling you to put divx on your pc. ever.
