dvd to smartphone

posted in Video Codecs

I own many movies on dvd and want to transfer them to my smartphone (android) to take mobile. I need a program that will rip a dvd into it and convert it to a codec my phone will play. I can then download onto my micro SD card in my phone. What program do I need? Keep it simple. Will the dvds themselves allow this? reply

Android smartphone acceptes mp4 videos for watching, while DVDs are in MPEG-2 VOB, they cannot be transferred or watched on Android. You should compress the DVD to MP4 with Pavtube Video Converter Ultimate in a suitable size and video format. reply
