how do I play avi and srt files together?

Convert AVI to TS file and then import TS and srt subtitle to TSMUXER for muxing them together. This solution can work well for me. Hope it helps for you.

If you have a Mac, install Perian. It is free and runs in the background of quicktime etc and will automatically load subtitles (.srt) if the file is in the same location as the .avi reply

vlc player i think is a best choice for this guys i used to play the movie first and then locate the subtitle file by clicking video =>subtitle track=> open file and then it press ok after selecting the particular file hit enter have fun reply

I did what leonardsky advised and it worked like a charm. I played Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, an mp4 file with a str file in the same folder and it worked without any effort. It’s embarrassingly simple, and I can’t believe it’s that straight forward. reply
