These players are terribly particular about the format of the video file. Most of them come with the conversion software, but often it is buggy or the player is purchased second-hand and the software is missing or damaged. Hopefully you at least have the specifications for the video (such as in the crap user manual). If you have this, you can convert your video to the player’s specifications using the Freemake Video Converter.
The converter itself is phenomenal, but even this - alone - isn’t enough. The player is picky. So:
Create a custom MP4 profile with the following settings (at least such was the case with mine):
240x320 (NOT “Up to 240x320”)
Since your mp4 player only can play avi video, so you need to convert the DV video format to avi.
