Hello guys,

Do you encounter errors while deleting files in Windows? I’m here to

provide a solution. I’ve been reading several threads on this topic on

different forums where computer users were asking about this popular error

“The filename you specified is not valid or too long”.

My research helped me to find a tool for you guys.

Its LONG PATH TOOL, a very easy to run but highly powerful software.

Follow the link to read more about this error.

The task pane may be annoying for video files, but it can be useful for other folders. I like the taskpane preview for image files. Thumbnail-instead-of-details display in folders with pictures is not an acceptable alternative because it slows down opening a folder and the thumbnails are too small. The 'other places' panel (which I customized, I use it frequently to drag and drop files) can also not be moved to the toolbar. reply

This problem occurs often when you abandon the editing process of video files. Windows keep trying to create previews for them but there is not enough data to do it right.
If you just want to delete an undeletable avi file, do the following:

1).Rightclick the file and select âCutâ.
2).Close the folder -if you left the folder open it wont work-.
3).Left click on the Recycle Bin and âPasteâ.

Now empty the Recycle Bin. reply

AVI causing shutdown or freeze? Try downloading and installing a windows media codec pack - the problem could be from a corrupted codec - this worked for me
