Windows Movie Maker used to preview video/audio, now doesn't work

posted in General

I’ve been working on a Windows Movie Maker project for a long time adding subtitles to large AVI files... it used to work without any problems until just recently when the video and audio will no longer work in the preview. I’ve tried doing things like installing codecs and deleting large files off my computer (I''ve noticed a correlation between how well Windows Movie Maker works and how much stuff I have on my computer, and I’ve recently returned from Europe with thousands of photos/videos which take up a lot of space..) but nothing seems to be working still... does anyone know what the problem could be or if maybe I’m not installing the right codec/using it right? reply
