In Media Player Classic, go to Options->Formats->select Real Media File and pick RealMedia instead of DirectShow.

Not my problem! My file “ghd.wmv” doesnt play with that trick

i have the same problem. my file *.avi play with your trick, but movie buffer to 8% and film starts palying. i can watch only films beginning. (i’m Polish:) sory for mistakes)

i downloaded a video from eMule “Falcon – The New Coach(2).avi” and i tried everything like downloading realalternative and trying the things with the internal filter and realmedia stuff but it’s still not playing. please help.
