Everytime I go to play a video file (specifically and MPG or a DVD) the visual for the movie will not play unless I keep the mouse activally moving around the screen. The second I stop moving the mouse the visual will freeze and the audio and progress will continue to move.
I have the same problem!
I have installed the omega drivers because, i couldn’t play Call of Duty with the ATI drivers.
But now i can’t play any movie!
I hope that someone could help!!!
(dienstalling and installing drivers when i want to watch a movie isn’t a fine solution :-p )
yah, i am definately having the same problem, i am also using hte OMEGA ATI Drivers, i am going to uninstall them and use a diff driver and see if that helps. cause i would like to be able to watch movies. It completly locks my machine up on any type of video... kk will post if i fix it.
Yah omega drivers were definately my problem, i uninstalled them and installed the orig ones from the manf. and it worked fine, no problem at all. I dont know if there is some setting you can play with in the omegas but its too bad cause i love omega drivers for there performance and stability for gaming. anyways, lata, hope this helped.
I have the same problem (probably sick of reading that, right?). It happens to me no matter what online video I watch. Never experienced it with my Windows video player, but on Gametrailers.com, Youtube.com, DantesInferno.com (if you’re conservative, don’t check this out; I love my gaming), and any other streaming site, it happens every once in a while, say maybe 2/5 of the time.
Same problem as the rest here- video freezes unless i keep the mouse moving. i don’t have Omega drivers, just a toshiba laptop with manufacturer’s drivers. will see if i can find something about upgrading drivers if that helps.
It would be great if someone could post detailed instructions on a fix for this! :)
same happens with me but i found a temporary solution. when the video starts playing, and then freezes just refresh the page and it will go back to normal. sadly, you hsve to do this for every new video that plays
same here... i have the new macbook pro, i only have this problem with online streaming videos tho. anything local plays fine. never downloaded any drivers.
this post started in 2005 - did ANYONE find a solution???
I had installed Skype on my windows 2007. I have been experiencing the same “freezing” problems with streaming video downloads, and also freeze-ups when I had more than 3 tabs set at bottom of my screen. I just un-installed Skype completely and now those problems have ceased. I swear to God!! Coincidence?? Doubtful!
Can someone PLEASE come back and tell us how to sort this out? This is all over the internet people that have the problem over the last five years, but no solution anywhere.
I am on facebook as JulietStorm.
This has happened to me several times now. I believe it is an issue within firefox and Adobe Flash.
2 solutions- stop using firefox.
or, update/reinstall the most recent flash. Really annoying that I"ve had to do this twice within the past few weeks.
However, it is the only solution I have found that works for this.
