Right click dvd santa icon choose run as administrator works good after that. You should be receiving a splash where it says must be run as admin when you have vista. It recognizes 7 as vista which it is mostly. Also some of these drives need to be set to legacy in the bios
I am using Win 7 on a Dell Desktop and recently after encoding a movie DVD Santa shut down in two ways 1. The Burn Button Deactivated turned off not Bolded 2. Below it says NO DVD/RW Drive found. I am not sure what has happened or what to do. Divx Bundle downloads movies fine and DVD Santa encodes them properly just when the burn screen comes up it seems to have cut off and no Drive is recognized. However, I can put a movie in there and it will auto play. Also I can go to computer - right click on the drive Icon and hiit properties and it sats working properly? Any idea what to do? Note: I am using a n older version of DVD Santa from approx 2006/7 but has always worked great. I have seen a version for Win 7 but I see no difference in it. It still says ver 4.50?
Note: I also have exact same set up on a Laptop Win 7,
DVD Santa, Divx Bundle and all works great from download to burn.
Finally I also have another DEll Desktop with same setup using XP Pro all works great, download, encode, and burn.
Does anyone have any idea what to do next?
