DVD Burning HELP

ADVERTISEMENTS

Ok I have such software Ripit4me, DVD Decrypter, DVD Shrink, Instant Copy, Magic ISO, Infoedit, and Nero8. I have tried making ISO and just straight Decrypting and then burning. To make the Bottom listed DVD I used Ripit4me,DVD Decrypter, then DVD Shrink. Everything goes great no errors, says burn worked fine. Put it in my DVD Player/Burner. And error comes up saying Playback feature may not be available on disc. I have used this process on all my other DVDs and they work great but lately I am unable to get any playable DVDs. I have not changed DVD type or any setting on the DVD buring software. PLEASE ANY INFO OR SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

I noticed
Track Path: Parallel Track Path (PTP)
in your post.
That’s a feature of double-layered DVD’s. One theory I have is you’ve been burning single-layer DVD’s up until now, and now you’re using double-layer ones the default settings don’t work. (The only setting to toggle in that case would be to switch from PTP to OTP). You’d have to check if your standalone DVD player can play double-layer media, and if so, whether it supports PTP or OTP.
Beyond that I wouldn’t know what to suggest.

P.S: Explanation of PTP/OTP. The first layer of double layer media is written like the one in single media: from the inside to the outside. OTP means the second layer is written in the opposite direction, from outside to inside. PTP means the laser goes back to the start (center/inside) and writes in the same direction as the first layer. reply
