I downloaded DVDShrink but what I want is to convert a mpeg file to a vob file so i can make a DVD with nero (nero only accepts a .vob file for this).

Does DVDShrink really convert mpeg files to vob? If it does, how does it make it?

Does anybody know about another software for this?

Thank you. reply

WinAVI is supposed to do that. I have been able to convert a small .mpg file to vob, but if I have a file of a fairly large size, it gives me an error message (see my post on the main encryption/conversion board). reply

To convert just about any media file to DVD, I use VSO DivxToDVD. You can download a trial version @:

What ever you use DO NOT use 'DVD Creator''FREE DVD CREATOR'
It not only frooze my computer it stopped me seeing 2 of the 3 hard drives I have on my computer.
So I had to format the C DRive and install all my other programs again.

If you just want to record a DVD and watch it on your computer or feed the output to a TV. Just use a record using a 'DATA VIDEO' program. This will not play on a commercial DVD but ok for a computer. MPG can be burned direct to the DVD no need for VOB file reply

OMG! People! Don’t you understand? This guy DO NOT ask “where can i get blablabla-to-DVD tool” - there are over 9000 such stupid tools.

He probably wants to convert (NOT reencode!, but LOSSLESSLY remux and split) DVD-compatible MPEG file to VOB files.

DVDLab Pro - it is shareware, but VERY CHEAP, and it is extremely stable, bulletproof, and feature-reach. reply
