i have a PMP kingston transcoder which converts vedio files into .mpx
but the problem is that any file i want to convert it says unsupported file format
wat the shit is this
i’m having the same problem when using the transcoder for my kingston kpex100. how come it won’t take any of the supposed-to-be-input file types as acceptable source? do you know of any codecs that i should download to resolve the problem?
pls email me at email@example.com under the subject “KINGSTON TRANSCODER PROBLEM” for any info. thanks a lot!
I ahve an MP4 player which plays video files of the format MPX so if any of you have it and would like to share it with me kindly mail me as soon as possible...
unsupported format? I *had* the same problem as well, for an hour or so XD all you need to do is to download a codec pack so the transcoder can convert the videos from one format to another. I used CCCP or combined community codec pack. you can use other codec packs but that’s the one I used. once installed the transcoder accepted the files and converted them to the .mpx format. I own a kingston k-pex by the way and previously owned another mp4 so I’m slightly experienced at these things. the transcoder can be found at kingston’s site, as posted by the previous posters, but if you can’t find it you can go to this address: http://www.zombiesports.blogspot.com/ and you can find the transcoder at the homepage.

oh yeah, the codec only accepts avi, mpg, mpeg, or asf formats. if your video is in another format you need to convert it to the above formats so the transcoder will accept it. i’m not sure if wmv will work.
I need software which can convert MPEG/AVI files to MPX files? I am not looking for mpx player please! everyone just pastign a link from kingston.com which is not there anymore.....please sen dme the correct link. Thanks
it is now 2013, has anybody been able to track down pmpt.exe or some other video conversion software that will create mpx files that are playable on the kpex100? will the kpex100 only play mpx or can it play avi’s renamed to mpx if the avi has the correct resolution and encoding?
